Rick Mangone is a highly accomplished and results-driven global leader with expertise in Quality, Continuous Improvement, Facilities, and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) across Aerospace, Automotive, Renewables, and Commercial industries. With 40 years of experience, he has led transformative initiatives at Fortune 500 companies, including GM, Honeywell, UTC, Doosan, and Ametek, earning a reputation as an expert in his field.
Throughout his career, Rick has successfully overseen the development of quality teams, Lean Six Sigma transformations, facility relocations, and EH&S improvements. Most recently, as Vice President of Quality, Facilities, EH&S, and OPEX at AMETEK (Zygo), Rick led a team that built a world-class, multi-site accredited Quality Management System and optimized facilities through strategic consolidations. His leadership in establishing a multi-site EH&S program with a Total Case Incident Rate (TCIR) of 0.5 over five sites and implementing an OPEX program earned him the prestigious Dr. Lux Award in 2024.
Rick’s educational background includes an Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hartford State Technical College and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Central Connecticut State University. He is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, accredited by the Six Sigma Academy, further enhancing his ability to drive continuous improvement across complex organizations.
